Location. Located on 27 acres of lush gardens in Islamorada, Fla., the Cheeca Lodge and Spa is a prime vacation spot for golfers, fishermen and families. At the nearby Theater of the Sea, visitors can swim with dolphins, sea lions and stingrays, or snorkel in the coral reef. Hotel Features. Known as the "Sport Fishing Capital of the World," Islamorada boasts more than 600 species of fish in the surrounding waters. The culinary artists at the hotel can even prepare guests' catches to order. Fine dining is served at Atlantic's Edge, featuring panoramic views of the ocean, indoor and outdoor seating, and a succulent array of fresh seafood. The casual, open air Ocean Terrace Grill offers grilled specials, sandwiches and an extensive children's menu. The Curt Gowdy Lounge serves a light menu and generous libations. The hotel offers a 4,000 square foot conference center, complete with business services and wireless Internet access.
The Fitness Center features mirrored exercise and weight rooms, and yoga and Pilates classes. Guests can relax with a wide range of treatments and massages at the Avanya Spa, such as the Mango Sugar Smoothie treatment. Snorkeling, wind surfing and parasailing are available, as well as a golf course and tennis courts. Camp Cheeca offers younger vacationers ages five to 12 programs of environmental awareness such as exploring tide pools, snorkeling and swimming.

Driving Directions
From Miami International Airport: Take right exit on LeJeune Road/836 West Coral Gables. Stay in the far right lane as you exit onto LeJeune Road. Take 836 West to the Florida Turnpike South until it ends. The Turnpike empties onto Highway 1 South into Florida City. Follow Highway 1 South to Cheeca Lodge at mile marker 82.
